World Wetlands Day is a global campaign to raise awareness of wetlands. This day is celebrated every year on February 2 on the anniversary of the signing of the Convention on Wetlands - an international treaty adopted in 1971, which is currently signed by 172 countries.

Dr. Maciej Bartold and Marcin Kluczek became experts in the COST European Cooperation in Science and Technology program as part of activity CA22136 PANGEOS (Pan-European Network of Green Deal Agriculture and Forestry Earth Observation Science) of the WG3 and WG4 Working Group.
